my first full length graphic novel is OUT NOW!
ILLUSTRATION
Illustration is more than just decoration, it breathes life into dreams. It bridges cultural gaps, forges connections and adds delight. It is the bridge between ourselves and our imaginations.
illustration makes it unique and sends it out into the world.
VISUAL MINUTES
“why have visual minutes at my event?”
Visual minutes (or scribing, graphic recording, live illustration, graphic facilitation - it goes by a lot of names!) are a powerful and creative way to boost engagement while creating a permanent record of an event or conversation. People love to see their ideas made real and watching an artist transcribe words into image and text in real time makes people pay attention where they might be tempted to “zone out” or check their phones! I have over 10 years of experience creating visual minutes for events of all sizes - ranging from the corporate to charity and cultural happenings. Below are some of my recent projects, click on the images below to find out more.

INVISIBILITY-ENDOMETRIOSIS
Endometriosis is an invisible disease that can have painful symptoms, affecting those who have the condition and their lives. Those living with the condition don’t always feel like they can speak out, as it is often dismissed as “bad periods” The silence and misunderstanding surrounding this disease can also have a negative effect on mental health. By speaking more about endometriosis and by bringing the experiences of those who live with it out into the open we hope to increase awareness and encourage those experiencing symptoms to reach out.

ITS OUR TIME NOW
These short powerful animated films have been developed by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) in collaboration with The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), The Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), Survivors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), NGOs and a variety of local community partners. They are aimed at creating awareness around the health and physiological consequences of FGM and cut through much of the inaccurate and misleading information circulating in the public sphere about FGM. We worked closely with FGM survivors to ensure the authenticity of the stories being told via the animations and remained true to the realities of FGM and its psychological impact.

ACTIONAID
In 2018 I was invited to collaborate with fellow animators Woven Ink to create a series of animations with Actionaid. Celebrating the inspiring and powerful work women around the world do in the face of humanitarian emergencies, women like Luijah, Emelline, Ismene and Fatema bring vital skills, resources and experience in emergencies. For this project I created vibrant and engaging illustrations of the women working in their communities to make real and lasting change.
